The Brief

Initially my team and I were hired in at very short notice to produce a company overview video that the client could use as part of a bid to gain a new and very valuable partner. Our initial meeting discussed the target audience, aims for the video and time scale. After this we agreed to plan for the main video, but also look to re-purpose the content for the future.

It was important to the client to put across the company’s values, look at the ease of integration for a new partner and highlight the benefits to customers.

Creative Process

It was decided that the best way to present the content was a combination of interview footage from employees, motion graphics and B-roll. After getting as much detail about the client as possible I drafted a set of questions that covered all aspects of the business, which were then used during filming to elicit the desired responses from the interviewees.

We scheduled the day so that all the interviews took place in the morning and all supporting footage was filmed during the afternoon. During post-production we used the company’s branding and graphics to create animations to highlight the values.

The outcome

The video was delivered before the client was to pitch for their new partnership. Feedback after the pitch showed that the video was highly effective in presenting the company and was a deciding factor in the company being awarded the Multi million pound contract.


From the Clients perspective

The video amplifies the culture, values and spirit of the business in way that other marketing mediums are unable to achieve. We will use the content for several purposes, including new business enquiries, recruitment and brand recognition.
Steve and the team provided a clear framework and roadmap for achieving our brief. The first stage was to understand the purpose of the video, the audience and the location. This was achieved through site visits and iterations of dialogue, to the point where the scope was agreed between both parties.On the day of filming Steve and team were onsite throughout the day, choreographing and organising the various elements required and feeding back throughout the process in terms of progress and suggestions for further inclusion. Post filming the editing of the video was completed collaboratively, to a point where the finished video was exactly what we have hoped to achieve at outset.

Steve was highly professional from start to finish. He grasped the requirements of the brief instantly and methodically communicated a detailed approach to ensure we received a first-class end product.
